I know, the way I describe things can be irritating at times, because my brain is ahead of my writing.
See it this way: The "normal" automation (you move a knob, the DAW stores that and replays it at will) is, when the DAW asks for values that control your plugin and sends those values to control it.
Now I think, that the optional "send automation recording" is the other way round. The plugin sends those values to the DAW to control something that is not part of the plugin. However, I could be dead wrong!

it's an interesting idea-really
we could send OSC?(Open Sound Control),
if DAWS would receive it on, say, a mixer slider
