This is very strange then, and I haven’t seen anyone reporting this before :?

Maybe you could post your complete system spec including CPU, OS etc... ?
There have been a few issues with Windows 10...

Hi Spogg,
Here are the screenshots of "CPUID", which will give you the lowdown.
I'm running Win. 7 Home edition, fully updated.
Yeah, the box is 8 years old, but it loaded 3.0.9 no problem.
It didn't run worth a darn, as you know.
I tried to add 6 screenshots, wouldn't accept more than 3, so I zipped 'em up, here they are.

I'm getting along fine with 3.0.7, no worries.

Ah damn, ok I figured out why it didnt work. I just noticed that you have to enable the reverb by clicking the blue name in the corner "FDN Reverb". It wasnt apparent :lol:

Looks like Adam figured it out, your reverb sounds GREAT !
I haven't dealt with 'mats' since the mid 1980s,learning BASIC.
Now I gotta hit the books again and see what's what !

Hi Folks !

Today I was working on this reverb.
Something surprises me a lot !

In the leaky integrator I can observe that the contribution of

For me this linking is counter intuitive.
I mean, a leakage close to one is for short delay lines, they will be processed more frequently than long delay lines that have a lower leakage value (closer to 0).

but when leakage is closer to zero, cutoff frequency moves higher !

I tried to propose a basic modification to your schematic martin to demonstrate the difference in sound of another damping where cutoff is independant of leakage.

The push button on the interface enables this alternative filtering technique.

Please tell me what you prefer !

Thanks for looking into this, francoisreme. You might be right, frankly I didn't spend much thought on the exact inner working of the reverb decay time T60 (it should really read RT60) and the (trebble) damping. My workflow is to set the reverb time to the desired value and then adjust the damping, not the other way round. Hence it does not matter (for me) if the corner frequency depends on the reverb time, as long as the range of the damping knob covers my preferred values. But of course other people may have a different aproach where it does matter. Your choice! :)

BTW that FDN reverb was before I discovered a better way which resulted in MVerb 7B. ;)
