I have found out that loading schematics with the audio interface turned on can cause all sorts of problems: not load properly, crash my audio interface, crash FS or even mess up my FS installation. Please post your creations with audio switched off.

It's not a new request though. It's been around since the old synthmaker days.

And for those who are interested in an explanation:
While we may all have an ASIO driver, they all are different, depending on the hardware provider. ASIO4ALL is another case. A driver is programmed by the company who sells the ASIO device. Flowstone remembers the last settings (number of outputs, names of outputs, etc.), so when opening a schemtic with an active ASIO out, it communicates with the driver, as if it were still the last one used. Drivers however are very rarely written so carefully, that they would catch those errors. More often they try to execute these wrong requests, with above mentioned results. The same is true for midi in, btw., but mostly the consequences aren't as fatal.

So, yes, as it was always, it should still be: deactivate midi in and ASIO out, before sharing your schematics!

I had never had a problem with it, and thought it a courtesy to have everything on and ready to go !
Duly Noted !
I'll definitely try to have things right in the future.

Is it possible this is exclusively an ASIO issue? - I don't have any ASIO devices, and I've never had anyone's schematic crash my computer, and pretty much ALL of them had their ins/outs 'on'. :?:
