Question related to signals and reverse engineering.

Two independent (probably "single-cycle"), complex signals. You can use them, to draw a Lissajous curve. Now - is it possible to re-create from complex Lissajous curve - timeline shapes of these wave signals that produce it? How it can be done? I guess it will require to define constant references?
Need to take a break? I have something right for you.
