FS Vst's & 64bit DAW's
Hey anyone else noticing a few GUI glitches when using an exported vst in Cubase 64bit?
It seems that there is something wrong with the way Cubase handles 32bit plugins.
My Vst & a few others randomly show blank screens over the plugin window. It lasts for a few seconds. . . then gone. Then back again!
So I tried the same plugins with 32bit Cubase & they work fine. This leads me to thinking its NOT my plugin. . .
hmmmm

A 64 bit DAW has to use a wrapper for any 32 bit plugins and this process can introduce bugs unfortunately.

yes thats right, are you using the steinberg vst bridge? don`t know how the actual versions of cubase handles this i`m still on 5.7 or so, after the seinberg bridge didnt work fine for me i tried the jbridge which was much better but still worse than working with the 32 bit version of cubase, this runs best for me and i think i will stay like this till most of my plug ins are 64 bit which will be not in the near future i think...

Cubase is a diva. So is the internal 64bit bridge (i also only know it up to V5.x). I'd recommend jbridge too. Handled my plugs without a hitch.

For me Cubase's bridge runs flawlessly. No hickups. JBridge crashes with any plugin i've tested (non-FS too).

Too bad the plugins were not native 64 bit and none of this would be an issue... I am pretty sure they'll do this soon though...
