"Copy" Causes Crash

Postby Perfect Human Interface » Thu Apr 18, 2013 2:11 am

I need to copy/paste the bottom half of this module's guts, but every time I try to copy it it crashes FL Studio.

Does this cause crashes for you?

Crashes here as well repeatedly.
But i did get a result, by breaking it down into two sections, then copy/paste.
I can't explain why this worked, or what's causing the error-beyond my understanding.
Hope this helps...

Yeah I did mess around with copying various amounts of the stuff and it was hard to get a sense out of what combination of things was triggering it. Thanks for affirming for me though. Do you guys use FL Studio (I'm using 10.10 Beta)? It would be useful for bug reporting to know whether the problem is limited to the FL edition.

I have and used the standalone version.
I also have FL, but don't have it installed atm
so you have found some bug IMO, they may investigate further

i think there is a problem with the stringparts i had situations where the same happened always when doing stuff with strings where more inputs comes in, something is crappy there, i always rebuildt it at the end.. does it work when copying without the ticker?

ps: i found out that using complex string schematics are pretty slow in green, maybe it would be better to work it out in ruby!?

I'm sure a lot of things would be better done in Ruby, but I don't know a lick of it. ;)

No. Still crashes.
PS:
Just curious: You mentioned the 10.10 FL Update:Does the FLFS have a "Clock" module like FLSM?

Yeah, syncs to FL's playback. I'm still waiting on word of whether that and other things are compatible outside of FL... I should go bump that thread.
