Strange BUG: ASIO & DS IO related

Postby Walter Sommerfeld » Tue Oct 15, 2013 5:40 pm

I have this behaviour in FS (maybe SM 2) up to v3.03 (which i don't use because of the EXE probs):

1. just place in an empty schematic the External Pairs of ASIO and DS IO...
OK
2. now select DS Input and Output, but beware: choose free Devices!
3. Choose ASIO IO (only have ASIO4All on this machine 4 now)
4. Choose the same or even different DS IO's again...
5. defocus FS - like clicking on the Desktop (so FS isn't in full screen )
6. Focus FS again - et voila:

here we have a major problem on my system (Win8): all devices are DESELECTED :o
This also happens in compiled EXE's... w/o switching between ASIO/DS :(
So after a defocus and then Mouse Over the App - no sound at all...

P.S.: I had this on XP 2 - maybe for years... always thought it was my 'worse' schematic...

Confirmed, but I'm not sure if this is not related to Windows itself dealing with sound drivers.
Need to take a break? I have something right for you.
Feel free to donate. Thank you for your contribution.
