Retrigg and hold on envelope?

This retrigg and hold on envelope can some one explain them pls. DO i get any diffrent sound out of it. I remember i was doing something diffrent with portamento when some one of them where active.

Found out its something with the release on envelope. when i take 0 release it works as it should :S
