ADSR TESTING
Hello gang,
Is there any test bench type tool/module to manually trigger a ADSR and then view the output shape?
Thanks as always, BobF.....

Re: ADSR TESTING
Hi Bob
I've been struggling with the stock multi-env because the re-trigger won't work for me. It sticks on the Sustain phase whatever I do but it took me a while to realise what was (not) going on.
The tool you describe never occurred to me but I would find it VERY useful. I can imagine ways to do it but I shall wait for a bit and see what others offer .
If nobody has done this yet I'd be surprised, since a slow capture scope and a gate switch is all that's essentially needed.
Let's see what the thousands who read this forum can come up with eh?
Cheers

Why not like this? Press a single key and watch the adsr graph.

Re: ADSR TESTING
Hello Adamszabo,
Thanks a lot! I have already used this though. I am VERY sorry for NOT being a little more clearer. I am looking for something more like a STORAGE SCOPE type of display that will hold the ADSR shape on the screen for some time.
Thank you so much though for taking the time to post as there has NOT been a lot of responce.
Take care! Later then, BobF.....

Re: ADSR TESTING
isn't it there the problem how to show long holded sustains?
i think the best way would be to record between note on and note off and show it then in a graph..
it also depends for what you will need it, if you don't need an exact 1 : 1 waveform, there are several graphic adrs modules around in the forum, i did one in ruby some time ago

Re: ADSR TESTING
I also recall finding the "retrigger" didn't seem to work with one of the ADSR modules. I made a thread about it I believe. I think it's just that particular module.
Sort of as Nubeat said I think you should need to simply record the output into any audio editor to see the shape of the ADSR. For example if you use FL Studio then Edison should be perfect for this. There's even a mode where it will record continually but restrict the total recording length to X minutes by deleting the old audio. If you want to make something contained within Flowstone I know there have been some wav load/draw modules about that could get you started.

Re: ADSR TESTING
Here is Mr. Spogg's single shot data logger.
i've set it up with 3 different envelopes for testing.
Bob, I do hope this is the sort of thing you had in mind my friend
Let me know if it's any use.
Cheers
