Re: 'Text View' ... but with pixs.
i think i got something like that here, it works with x/y offset and you can scroll through a content area in both axis, the scrollbars are just normal sliders with 0..1 output so you can use any fancy stuff for that
note that the scrollbars are not considered in the offset adjustment, so add the needed space in the content area

This one is great Nubeat7, thanks. Now I can go back to the past, and redesign that rigid/fixed part I have there.
Need to take a break? I have something right for you.

Re: 'Text View' ... but with pixs.
OK ... so the scrolling pix and text IS possible
Thanks for the proof NuBeat !!!
We now have 2 concepts to draw from. And if somebody knows of a way to display PDF files within a FS project, that would be HUGE
Regardless ... I still like the idea of having a complete manual 'embedded' within a app that we are making. Through the use of 'multi-tabbed' windows [I'm gratefully using MyCo's design], to include this aspect. [though I've only had scrolling text].
Something else ... I know we can load GIF files into the 'bitmap' prim ... but what about 'moving' GIFs ???
At the moment, I'm writing up documentation for my program ... man is this tough to do
I'm having text, with picture diagrams, arrows, highlighting, etc. to try and cover the 'newb' to the more advanced.
Would actually prefer an 'outside' writer that is not so connected to all the details, and would write a manual from a User's perspective ... maybe if I become rich and famous from this 1st release yea.
Anyway ... I take a break later tonite from writing, and hope to look closer at these examples and try a few things.
Thanks for joining and sharing comments, ideas, and examples guys !!!

Thats great nubeat7...thanks for 'chipping in'.. looks like real interesting method..
RJHollins wrote: but what about 'moving' GIFs
From memory, i think the go was to render individual frames of the gif, then re-animate
them in the schematic..
(lots of info on this back at SM -graphics section)...
I searched 'gif' in FS user guide and got nothing....
