clear and stop all audio processing?

Postby TrojakEW » Tue Jul 02, 2013 5:47 pm

Is there any other way than using Clear audio primitve? Well problem is that this primitive works for me only when no additional procees will run after that. What I mean - I created bus to switch order of effects. Everythings works fine but when I change effects order when audio is still playing (long release in evnelope settings for example) I still get audio playing (garbage - last millisec of played audio skipping) until it finish changing order (or any other calculation). With or without clear audio primitive result is same. As I said before everything else works fine but it's rather annoying.

i did this with a "reset" trigger, so when changing fx order put a sample and hold between the button and the matrix (or how ever you do this) send a reset trigger which shut down all audio - preferably the master volume with a dezipper - then after a DELAY (i used 50ms) turn an audioselector, after the master vol, to off, after another delay of a few ms send the "do it" trigger ("set values now" or what ever) to the sample and hold to set the new fx order (now it recompiles) then everything in the other direction - another delay to turn audioselector on and another delay to turn master vol up again.... i saw this technik in one of trogs things and for me it works fine

I was hoping for simpler solution but thanks to your post I get idea how to use clear audio primitive and looks like it work.

I just put sample and hold like you said but with delay trigger. So after hitting button to change order it send trigger to clear audio primitive and than after a delay (for now I use 300ms) send trigger to sample and hold to send new order. Nothing else, nothing more. At the top of that it also speed up effect ordering (looks like order will switch after all audio stop and without clear audo it took longer than 300 ms).

Again thank you for inspiration ;).
