Loading multiple files.

Just thought I would check if I am missing something but i cannot find a way to load multiple files via the file dialog or otherwise. I can load all wave files from a selected folder but cannot find a way to open multiple wav files from the file dialog.

Any thoughts ?

I might have to suggest a new kind of prim in the Alpha ?

I already suggested it to MyCo.

You can try this one I made long ago - it currently is set to load MP3 files but inside the module I also put the string component with the data for loading Wav files you must just connect this in place of the connected one for MP3 files, here is the link:

Fixed: With Version 2 (Link above) it does not matter if you click with the Mouse on the files (MP3/Wav) which you want to load from the directory as it will still load all the MP3/Wav files in that directory. You also have a choice now to switch between MP3/Wav files from the Properties panel.

Old version 1 obsolete: But DO NOT Click with the Mouse directly on the Files you want to load or else it will not work. Just Click your way to the Directory of the files you want to Load and Click OPEN.

Yes, this works , but I still have to open the file dialog for each file .

The schematic is intended to load from one (same) directory in one go all the files in that directory but do not click on the files you want to load or it would not work at all - and then you will have to start from the beginning again. At the final directory where the files are located you just click on OPEN, OPEN (do NOT click on the files) and it will load the whole directory. I tested it on my side and it works.

This schematic will not work what you intend to do i.e. loading multiple files from multiple directories.

Oh I see , I misunderstood , I could already load all from folder.
But this is a neater implementation , in my quick fix I could only see folders and not wave name,so thanks !

Not selecting anything is unexpected behaviour for a user though, hope this will get implemented in the new version.
EDIT: Guess I could put in instructions in the dialog title

As in , open folder select the waves you want and load.

lalalandsynth, although I brought this matter to the attention of MyCo I think it would be a good idea if more users ask for a Primitive that can do what we want to do i.e. load multiple files also from multiple (different) directories during the same action.

However, MyCo pointed out at the time when I asked that there could be a compatibility issue with a new primitive doing what we want to do.
