Why ZIP the installer for only 200K savings?

First of all, thank you so much for all the work you do to provide and maintain this excellent software! I really enjoy it, even though I don't get to use it often.

I've noticed that you distribute the installer (at least for the free version) in a ZIP archive that contains only one file--the installer (.exe). Why bother with this extra step when it only decreases the overall size of the file by less than 200K, a savings of ~1%? Does the ZIP format help get around some browser restrictions I'm not aware of?

Please consider simply distributing the .exe installer. And keep up the great work with FlowStone!

Hi ProfessorO. Yes there are browser addons and antivirus programs that will sometimes block anything with an .exe extension trying to be downloaded right from a browser. Viruses can even attach themselves to .exe files without you knowing upon download or if the exe passes through an unsafe server. When a file is compressed it becomes much more difficult to infect. This has become a good practice for security purposes and it makes solving browser security issues less of a problem for those not as Internet savvy. Newest Operating Systems like Windows 7 can open .zip files almost transparently like a folder
