exporting a FS project as standalone *.EXE

Postby philton » Fri Nov 16, 2012 10:24 pm

hey guys and girls
i have a question : let´s say i have a FS3 project that works fine inside FS. now i want to buy some credits so that i can export it as standalone app. how can i get assurance that this project WILL work exactly like the project inside FS?
i don´t want to export it using a credit just to notice later that the exported EXE doesn´t work like it should.

for future development of FS: for cases like this, it would be nice to have a "export as standalone" option that is
limited in some ways (watermarked with a "FS DEMO EXPORT" or limited to let´s say 5 minutes ) so that i can test my app WITHOUT using a credit? once the test results are fine/proofed on several systems the user can take the standard
"export" using a credit. thx

Can the idea be extended for VST Plug as well?-so we can do timing tests in hosts .

Yes, you can already do this. Select the module and click the 'VST' action panel button as usual but in the resulting Create VST/VSTi dialog box click the Create Demo button.
