Include another SDK with ruby possible?

Postby chackl » Thu Nov 22, 2012 10:07 am

Hello!

I just thought about "cool if flowstone could make vst effects that operate with the virtualDJ-SDK"

Here is the Link to the SDK:
http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Developers.html

Is there any chance to include this to a flowstone project at the moment?
Regards

After having a quick look at the VDJ SDK I'D say no, not possible at the moment. The FDJ SDK uses functions that call back into the extension DLL. This was forgotten to implement in FS according to viewtopic.php?p=2023#p2023

Well thist would be to awsome if FlowStone would be able to export VirtualDJ Based effects. I do not know if it would be able to add a rubby code that VirtualDJ handles it as VirtualDJ DSP effect.

Would this be possible in feature?
I use verry often a combination with VirtualDJ and FlowStone and Flowstone keeps me helping also to find MIDI data of Controllers and i allways try new Sound-effects in Flowstone fist before i port them to C++ VDJ SDK.

The best way would be to have it as another export option. However, I don't think this is likely to be something that we'd look at any time soon. It looks interesting but we have so many other things we want to do and sadly we can't do them all :(
