The Quilcom SIM-CIMBALOM
Hello!
As is so often the case, this cimbalom sim synth was the result of a suggestion. I’m always open to suggestions (but I never promise!).
A very special thank you to Martin who made me an amazingly evolved Karplus-Strong system which is so much better that a regular one. The synth uses 4 of these in poly, as you will see if you look inside the schematic. They actually stay in tune without the need for lookup tables or correction fudge-factors for the higher pitches. Plus the high notes can last much longer and there’s no zipper noise when the frequency bends (not used in this synth).
