A true F.M. Synthesis Demonstrator for you !
Hi Gang,
Since we're dealing different types of signal generation and modulation techniques, let's have some fun with a true Frequency Modulator. This is not 'Phase Modulation', which is what you generally see labelled as F.M., this is the real deal. I've included my 'Mystery Bias Pack" which keeps those -1 to +1 signals totally above 'ground', from 0 to +1.
This guarantees correct operation of the V.C.A., which does not deal with control voltages below 0.
You can bypass the Bias Pack and see for yourself.
This is just the first in a series of F.M. "Operators" (Signal generators) that I will be building for you.
And of course, it's Dead Simple.
By the way, Yamaha Corporation coined the term 'operator' for F.M. signal generators.
Have fun !
