4 channel Pololu 24V23 test module
Hi folks,
Just thought I'd post something I was using the other night. I made a quick test program to run my differential skid steering for my rover using 4 Pololu 24V23 motor amplifiers.
The two basic controls are simple. A throttle and steer slider, along with a selector switch for hard or soft turns. The hard turns gives full spin-in-place control of 4 motors. The soft turn turns off one side or the other in full left or right. This module may be useful to others, even though it is old-school FS - no ruby code.. The module can switch to four different COM ports, one per motor. The serial string is built and sent to each motor and uses Pololu's standard Ascii protocol.
The module can be easily adapted to the Xbox or similar controller joystick axis, for easy skid steer testing.
