Synthmaker bundle
Re: Synthmaker bundle
Sounds good but I'm away from home for a few days so only have an Android tablet with me. I'll have a look probably Wednesday...

Re: Synthmaker bundle
I must be thick - I just don't get how the Preset Manager works. If I save presets with it when the schematic is open in SM, then the presets are there when the synth's opened in a host, but how does a user store their own presets? They have to use the "File" button and save them as a .txt file? So to build a bank of their own presets they have fill a folder outside the synth with .txt files? And what do the "Save All Programs/Load All Programs" options do? Only way to build an .fxb bank is within the user's host?

Re: Synthmaker bundle
This is the sequence to adopt for presets:
Make your preset and save it from the GUI dropmenu.
Re-load the preset into the same or another program number location (usually the same one you've been editing).
Go into the preset manager's properties view and do a Save from there.
Then save the whole schematic to preserve the new preset.
I know! It seems like a crazy system but it works well. The presets you preserve when you save the schematic are compiled into the schematic and hence the VSTi. These are effectively burnt into the plugin. If you load a preset into the plugin when in a DAW, the DAW should take care of saving the preset with the song but naturally it won't address the dll itself which will be unaltered. The lock function controls this behaviour so you can adjust but not lose the original preset parameters.
Note that there is a known bug with the lock button. To guarantee you get the lock function you want, change it, save the schematic, then change it to what you want then save again.
The end user can create individual presets and save into a folder. Several can be "loaded" into the plugin and then saved as All Programs for future use in other projects. All Programs is a bit like fxb.
My own inclination is to create the burnt-in presets as starting points for the user to adapt to the song and can then be exported as txt files for use in other projects.
Cheers

Re: Synthmaker bundle
Finally got Synthy P param-named (and a visible Preset Manager), in the process did a major re-vamp (mostly error-corrections ;-] ). Oscillator three can toggle to a step LFO.
The Preset Manager appears at the bottom; I just didn't include it in the screenshot.
Thanks again to bluesmoke for all the hard work naming the pin matrix.

Re: Synthmaker bundle
I decided while I was at it I'd do a version of Synthy P that has a single envelope like the hardware. I've re-named the first version Synthy P_2eg, and this new one will now be called simply Synthy P.
If I understand the photos of Synthi P, there was a position midway on the Sustain knob that switched the envelope to a repeating mode; this position was marked "Multi". I've emulated this on this new version - at about 2:00 the Sustain knob has a mild detent, where the envelope goes into A/D loop mode.

Re: Synthmaker bundle
The synths on that site have not been worked on by Spogg (a bit on one or two); they have had their parameters named to make them compatible with DAW automation and a bit more 'polishing' in most cases (considerable re-vamp in many), compared to the versions in the original Synthmaker Bundle mentioned at the top of this thread.

Re: Synthmaker bundle
I love to wake up and see my question answerd. Perfect
But I have additional questions:
In this whole thread I crossreaded is many links to different or reworked versions. I would be really great to have an overview but I'm not involved enough to do this. Maybe you and Spogg could post the actual status? As far as I can see, we have:
a) original bundle
b) bundle with parameter names (http://kbrownsynthplugins.weebly.com/)
b) Spoggs corrections dropbox downloads
c) Diverse links to single downloads
I just don't want to miss stuff but don't have overview on what is what.
Important question: Why is your synths not listed on vst4free?

Re: Synthmaker bundle
a) contains the only link you need; all the latest versions are in the folder that link takes you to - it's called "Named Params".
It's the same link that's at the bottom of all my posts.
