ROXY's Phase Inverter
Hi Gang,
Have any of you real world electronics guys (like myself) wondered why there's no phase inverter anywhere in Flowstone ?
They supply some of the most abstruse modules and primitives, but no audio phase inverter.
Yeah, I know it's not an 'electronics' modeler, blah blah blah, but c'mon, no phase inverter ?
So I decided it's time.
A word of caution first, though.
For simplicity's sake I was using the stock 'scope'.
You may not have run into this yet, but here's where I initially got 'thrown'.
Above 20 Hz., the A and B traces 'merge' and have the SAME phase !
Say WHAT ?
Luckily I have a lab grade scope handy and I ran my hookup through it instead and I've included a 1 kHz' trace for you.
Then I decided to see if there were any 'scope alternatives in my toolbox, and BobF's scope is WAY better than the stock scope, so I've included it in the hookup, and yes, it maintains phase above 20 Hz. !
Anyway, I developed this Dead Simple phase inverter that I'm sure many of you will find handy down the road.
Enjoy !

Phase inverter: multiply output (scaled in range between -1 to 1) by -1

Re: ROXY's Phase Inverter
In life there are usually several ways to accomplish the same goal.
Here's my inverter compared with Tester's inverter.
As you can see, the results are identical.
Thanks for the input, Tester !
