Vector slider from Vertical -> horizontal
hmmm .... seemed like an easy design conversion ... at the time
I have managed to keep botching this thing up.
First ... somebody created this interesting design of a vector based slider. It seems to only exist in a vertical format. I thought it'd be useful if the matching 'horizontal' version was available, cause you just never know what a GUI design might come up.
I have made some minor mods to the original design. Added a 'center' marker when CNTRL clicking to reset to default [center] position [handy].
The 'simple' vector design is very useful, since it can be easily 'sized' to order without resorting to bitmap making.
I have managed to mangle, and distort ... bend, fold, mutilate ... but I can't seem to get this to look and work.
If anyone is bored or would like to add to the 'toolbox' ... might we have a chance to provide this lonely slider with it's horizontal twin ??
Thanks gang !!
Here's the schematic

Re: Vector slider from Vertical -> horizontal
Here is a rotated vector slider.
The builder of the vertical one was Outsim,
this part of the original UI controls,
which I have rotated.
Cheers man, hope u can mesh these to satisfaction

Re: Vector slider from Vertical -> horizontal
Nix ... man was that fast !!!!
Just checking it out ...
It does have a snag to it, though
The vertical was able to 'reset' to default any where in the 'active' section of the window ...
This horiz version seems to have a glitch in trying to do that.
Any chance to visit that ???
... I need to look at what you did here and see what I was messing.

Re: Vector slider from Vertical -> horizontal
Jay ... yes that does help !!!
I was just going back and forth between the previous example ... made some progress to adjust the original, but ended up with the same 'reset' condition
Just tested your post, and it seems to work great !
Now to look inside to hopefully identify where I was going wrong. Then I can look at possible 'graphics' changes.
Big thanks Jay !!
