New VSTplug flowstone product: Silverhawk
Hi all, I've been working on a new flowstone product called silverhawk by VSTplug.
And there's an article about it on the VSTplug site:
https://vstplug.com/new-equalizer-named-silverhawk/
It's a forty band EQ that halves the signal and allows you to set the stereo width for each signal 1 and signal 2. This allows you to achieve most audio effects desired; especially in the case of vocal processing.

It uses a style of linear phase processing designed by Myself which works in realtime. It also has floor and ceiling compression that will automatically get the highs and lows to their best and desired ratio.
I was able also to optimize a limiter model made a flowstone user, it was in a schematic called the G plug-in schematic. I'll make sure and track that username down so I can give credits. Anyways, I was able to use Sam Mungal's db linear VCA ASM which avoided the CPU heavy limiter envelope control processing.
It's using 3% CPU and it's the smoothest VST plug-in I've ever used. All possible with the power of Flowstone and a supportive audio community.

tested demo link and it is working and updated top post. I'm sorry for the late reply I have been working full time to get My head round this plug. I then want to release beat, freq 2 (based on a design by phonicsaudio.com), MV reverb, and VSTplug Q Parametric EQ.
There are no limitations to the demo posted. the latest update is not hampered in any way, but it's a prototype; just a very good one.

MichaelBenjamin wrote:no problem, i really like your idea of the importance of mono, it is too often forgotten (i myself prefer to listen to most things in mono).
have you implemented the human hearing range chart?
it could be quite useful.
for example if you have a brute force naive saw wave, the amplitude of each partial is 1/(2*partial_index).
it would sound much better if each partial would be automatically tuned to human hearing.
it is just an idea ofcourse.
Human hearing range chart, I probably should.
I've been implementing a new range and distance controller that allows x and y two state manipulation. Will be a cool GUI.

here's the GUI for the new silverhawk range and distance controller.
You can use it for whatever.

the buttons on the left that you show in the demo video.
why not having a pure parametric eq?
i think the hidden limiter might be confusing for some people.
It's actually an auto db averaging device. It makes it easier to master to a certain db.
And though it is not apparent, it also averages the floor to the specified dbfs, but because that is subtracted from the ceiling automatically, it's hard to notice. The phase buttons, if off automatically reduce phase cancellation.
that helps especially when applying the mono to stereo design by Spogg which is based on H. Lauridsen's old design to do the same. It can sway too far to the left or right than My liking and I eventually will set it to automatically do that while the mono to stereo is enabled.
However, I was considering adding more to prevent the phenomenon to a greater extent. I was testing width enhancer designs and realized that the one by Acrobat is not only Bi-polar in control float scheme but also seems able to re-add width which was taken away. If you are to then reduce after the fact and then add the width back it's even more effective.
But, it used 1% CPU. Not sure whether or not I will go all the way with that.
also, there's a new GUI controller that has a video to better explain it on the bottom of the page now.
