Interesting paradox, if energy in a critically supercooled system would be so hot the system would not be able to contain it. Or nonexistant because critical supercooling implies the energy is not there :?: Tho it would (could) be contained in the first example, no proof it wouldnt be..

Yeah man,
I checked it.
Nice way to make the couple Jay.
That's cool to have DC generation documented in the vid.
I still can't figure how to apply the power generated from the
generator motor back into the driver.

I modified a rotary switch to be endless,
and now have a powerful stepper on the switch.
Gotta try and see if I can switch a bipolar one,
but I need to source the right rotary.

Are you sure the current is ripply and bumpy, Jay?
How can you be if you haven't seen it on a scope?

how do i know? well from years of experience and understanding of the concepts of ac/dc generation! ;) the way the dc is converted from these motors is full of ripple because of the configuration of the motor! these have only a couple of coils to output the pulses, the more coils the smoother the output.

the motor is outputing the upper signal in this diagram and filtered useable dc is seen in the bottom sketch! pure dc is a square wave and looks like the next picture! and i think that is noise being shown in yellow

try this! put a diode on the positive input to the motor, take the positive output of the generator and feed it back to the motor after the diode, take the generators negative and send it to ground! you should see a tiny difference in the draw from the batteries running the motor! it should be less by one or two milliamps! ;)

Would like to have lab equipment like this :) Scopeless, DMMless.
Got my hands on a fast RC car today. Resoldered the servo before, needs a bearing.
Going to repair it, and then see if I can use the parts for something else.

:D servo motors make good generators! well some do! especially the larger dc ones!

Its like an old Tamiya pwm servo, quite large. Picking up a fair bit of static at 2.4GHz. But sounds extra narly as a result :)
