bitmap image

Are there any programs that will convert a standard bitmap image into a vector image for free? Is there a free program that does this or a free trial of one that I can insert a bitmap image into and save it as a vector. I only need it for 2 images.

It appears not to be so simple!

I had a look to see if I could do it for you in Photoshop but having read the instructions:

It is a lot of work to tun a bitmap into a vector image.
