3.0.5 is released
Re: 3.0.5 is released
The frequency of updates are not incresed in proportion to pricing. A lot beside my expectations.

Re: 3.0.5 is released
Turning on the light, computer, coffee machine, driving the car to work, paying the bills all cost money, so does paying yourself, there are a lot of things that we take for granted. The business model dictates your ability of what is likely to be achieved in a set period from the funds that are available to achieve your end result.
Then there's those extra out of hours you spend torturing yourself so you make the deadline or achieve the goals you set.
I dare say if you where to as Malc, Malcolm "Which would be greater? The hours of personal unpaid time or business time hours that have been put into this?" , i don't need an answer, i already suspect that it is personal hours.
In terms of value, this $150-250 package is well under it's market value, an equivalent or close to package is valued at $1100-$7000 National Instruments 'Labview'.
I find that in terms of performance & what the package can achieve by its merits, that Flowstone can accomplish more & faster, even though the support base is limited and development seems slower.
I try not to compare apples with bananas, this banana could be made to do what that apple can do, yet that apple will never give the control necessary to accomplish what this banana can do.
I will add that there is a difference between a "Project" that becomes a "Product" & a "Product".
Projects are personal by nature, they are a collaboration of thoughts & desires, when there is a demand that a Project meets at it's infancy it become a conscious decision to make your project a "Product".
To the designer(s) this is their baby and they will commit themselves unequivocally to their project.
Whereas a Product is produced, it is not personal, it is a financial decision. A product can end, when their are no more consumers.
Let's look at what $250 buys, it buys commitment, integrity, perseverance & a Product that conveys personality.
That's true, But you can only do so much with what you already have, and if you have no money, then there's probably not much you can do?
I expect when i buy a product from a well established business, that the product performs as expected.
However i do not expect the Outsim company to bend over backwards at every whim, as they are at the infancy with this product.
I would, however expect, a small part of the forum, where the developers submit a roadmap of what they are trying to achieve & what they are currently doing to achieve this.
Like i said, these guys are working 24/7 on their project & it would be inevitable that along their journey they have missed out on personal times such as weddings, birthdays, HOLIDAYS to meet the demands of their community.
As i say, this is all speculative & could be a load of bollocks. They probably are a bunch of greedy bastards, that are pissing up your money @ the local right now

Your opinion seems rigth, just i hoped that switching to FS was a little more fast in development.
Probably to have a wider market the price should be this (also for schools) because in that way can compete with other products.
I mean, robotics stuff is niche as is synthmaker stuff.
Turning to gaming and releasing also in steam may be was a less niche decison nowadays.

IMO,
if we had printing we could build accounting soft-
which is certainly not niche

Funny you mention printing... in my travels today i ignored the option to use printing, it was somewhere between rundll & ole , please forgive me as i normally skim to the parts i want.
EDIT*
rundll32.exe MSHTML.DLL,PrintHTML "C:\directory\filename.htm"
Which is you can do formatting with css&xml and believe highly possible?
Works

Re: 3.0.5 is released
Question: Say you have a project saved with an older version, you open it in the new version, then save as EXE or VST or even fsm again. Is it then also automatically updated? In other words all components which have changed/updated are now updated?
Or does one have to go by all used components and then replace them manually?
If the last option is how it is, then we need a feature which will automatically (or via menu option) check al used modules and update them accordingly.
Any idea's / know abouts on this?
