To say that I am delighted with the improvement in performance (not just with the graphics but with the program in general) would be a massive understatement.
Thanks for letting me know, that is what I wanted to hear. I have changed directions in some of my tests and trials because of too much intensive crunching for ruby graphics and number processing. Maybe I should sign up for testing. I would love to see the finished released product.

Re: GUI sizes
My latest plug-in reviewed on KVR lately. The reviewer claimed:
"Very slow reacting GUI makes a lot of XRUNs in Reaper".
I barely use Ruby for graphics and prefer jknobman and png. images instead. Still don't completely understand what's this XRUNS is about, but looks like FS's current graphics method doe's have a critical effect on the total performance and it's quite painful it's stealing a focus from the plugin itself.

Re: GUI sizes
I thought you needed a 64bit machine to run the Alpha.
If not, is there a way to be sure I wont lose my toolbox if I install it? I went through that when upgrading to 3.0.8., then back to 3.0.6.

In the folder ..\AppData\Roaming\FlowStone\Modules\User there should be a bunch of .hom files - basically your toolbox content. I presume these are also compatible with FS64.

XP had a 64-bit version as well. So wou wouldn't need a new computer, just installing the 64-bit system.
You can't install the 64-bit alpha, if your XP is 32-bit.
The change from 3.0.8 to 3.0.6 is much easier, as 99% of the code was compatible. That's different to the alpha. The code is a total rewrite, and so, just as for schematics, some items of your toolbox might not work anymore. Maik did a crazy job making it as compatible as possible by allowing some of the older prims existing alongside the new prims, but you can't be sure, as you want it.
If your Mac is running a 64-bit OSX, you can install and run Win 10 64-bit as well relatively easy with Bootcamp: https://youtu.be/qUfWTYkj4Q0

Re: GUI sizes
Yeah, I wondered about that - I might actually be able to run the FS Alpha on my Mac? That would be ideal, then I could leave the PC undisturbed.
I'm on Yosemite 10.10.5. Intel Core i5.

I wonder why you don't update your system? However, yes, you're safe. You can install Win 10 64-bit with Bootcamp. The video I linked to is a step by step process and makes it really easy to do!

I guess I've heard too many horror stories of people upgrading their Macs to later OSs and had nothing but trouble after.
