Flowstone Guru benefits of being a Member!
Hey guys, I would love to see more people getting involved over on Flowstone Guru.
So I have open it up so anyone that is a member of the site can upload files
Before you do make sure you have read the Flowstone guru Module licence.
The benefits of becoming a member are...
1. Upload modules.
2. Rate other peoples modules.
3. Comment on Articles. (Previously didn't have to be a member but this helps a lot with spam)
4. Secret yet to be released modules available only to members.
5. Future features, such as Group Chat ect..
Regarding no 4, I won't be locking away lots of modules to members only but it is just meant as a "perk" of being a part of the site and to get you all interested
Now I strongly encourage people to rate downloads and get involved by commenting and asking questions, reporting problems in support threads ect. Don't forget to show the Blog writers some love too
The more end users get involved the more people want to share, nobody likes sharing and getting no response!, so please once you have signed up and downloaded something please at least give it a rating. As the downloads area fills out these ratings will help people quickly get to the best modules.
I am also looking for more article writers, any one interested in contributing to the Blog let me know here or via PM and I will add you as either a Contributor or Editor. You don't need to be a "Guru" just have some knowledge to share.
That is it for now I will upload a secret module soon

Re: Flowstone Guru benefits of being a Member!
Hey Exo mate,
I'm happy with just using the forum,
but I'm thinking of releasing all my schematics.
There are like 15 schematics of finished VSTs.
If you are interested in having these on Guru,
let me know here.
Prolly I will make a post in examples here.
Not 100% I will do it, but just putting it out there.
Let me know
These are the projects->
www.phonicsaudio.com
I want to provide single .dll programs-
this means all copyright protection and hassle just isn't-- for the
techno scene

That's too bad. You will lose a lot of information and tools then. The reason behind GURU is to have a solid, reliable database with convenient search functions and archiving. Pretty much all that is missing on the forums
As an example, I'm just starting a series of articles about Ruby, called "Ruby Stripped", for newcomers and those that didn't dare using scripts by now. You won't find that on the forums. Deep and very helpful dsp/asm articles, awesome heavily optimized stream math and a growing archive of downloadables are just the tip of the iceberg

OK- you have me,
I will join and contribute--
an article request I have is how to make filters easily understandable,
I mean how does an algo create a freq response?
What is the nature of the comparator?
It's a bit OT,
but if anyone can make a 'filters for imbeciles'
-- I would read with interest
I will have a look in the next couple of days what I can find to contribute,
(I'll think what might be novel or complicated)
--I might do this open source thing there too, if you'll have me so

cool {shades}
Do you want me to design the favicon?
Here is an example to show I can do it->
https://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/af7wvn
I use a registered version of AwIcons
Would like one in my favourites toolbar,
if this sounds like you want to do it--
what icon do you want?

Yes please thanks.
Any design you feel that goes with the site will be fine, maybe with letters FSG or something in it. But I will leave it to your judgement
