Thank you Martin! Once again I learned more from these lines than from any lecture on the web. Your last sentence is the only thing where I have to disagree. Yes, there are sources that describe terms. No, they don't explain them understandable in all cases. However, thanks to your explanations I could search for "linear filter" and one of the top links was the following one. It seems that it explains it starting at zero and also avoid too much tech talk (every term introduced is explained and further decribed by examples). Would you mind having a look at later chapters and tell me if it is a good source? I would then keep on reading (I'm currently at chapter "Static Linearity and Sinusoidal Fidelity").

Oh, yeah, the dspguide is certainly a good read. I have mentioned it recently wrt filters. Would it be a good idea to have a collection of recommended links on flowstone.guru? I mean not just a pile of URLs but a structured compilation witch an indication of content, level, etc. for each entry? I still think there is much good stuff out there worth reading. ;)

Yes, it would. I think, a place where those informations are gathered rather than spreaded over several topics here on DSPr, would make it easier to find sources.

I just wonder why I am the only one reacting to your question? Is nobody else interested in learning to design your own filters?

Agreed something more structured would be good. Do you have any examples (links) of what you mean?

I am also interested, just don't have the time at the moment. To many other things to learn and finish.

I have added some stuff to the FS Guru resources page. More to follow soon.
@Exo, I have no specific idea wrt structure. For now it is OK as it is with appropriate headings and a short comment for each link. We'll see how it grows if we need somethig more sophisticated later on.

Great links :) .

Ok, yes that is what I am thinking. We can come up with a better solution if/when it starts getting out of hand.

I just adding a widget to the main page so now you can find articles by category :)

I removed the "Blog archives" widget because it is less useful and that side of the page was getting a bit cramped.
