Hey guys,

Spam has been exceptionally bad over the past week, hopefully soon it will start getting better. Last week we had a massive increase in spam accounts signing up. Malc has made some changes to the sign up process which should help keep them out, but we will probably keep having bad spam for a while. All I can do is ban them after they have spammed the forum, and delete all the posts.

I have been keeping on top of it the best I can, so maybe some of you haven't noticed.

Thanks to everyone that has been reporting it, this helps so thank you, keep it up ;)

Should see less spam as time goes on and I keep banning them.

Cheers

Thanks for the continued cleaning EXO. Seems so many boards are hit ... what a PITA

Good to know that the 'Report' icon can be helpful in this.

Thanks again.

Thanks, Exo, for cleaning the dirt. A PITA, indeed. Hadn't noticed the report button, will be using it now.

I also didn't notice it. I'll use it. It also seems, that these are no bots. I got a pm from one of them! Wouldn't it help to give new accounts less options? For example not being able to pm, no links in posts, something like that? Wouldn't be needed to last long, before changed into a full account.

Yes I think limiting new accounts for a short period might help, I will discuss that with Malc.
