FL studio has its own special plugin format called fruity plugin. Fruity wrapper allows you to open VST plugins in FL studio. It also works as a jBridge - allows you to open 64bit VSTs in 32bit FL studio and vice versa (i think). The FL version of Flowstone allows you to save your schematics directly as fruity plugins, avoiding need of fruity wrapper.

Fruity wrapper generally works well - incompatibility issues are rare. To learn how to use VST plugins in FL studio, just read the manual or watch some tutorial on Youtube, for example this one

Not quite true. Fruity plugins are also 32 or 64 bit. Other FL native plugins have been ported to 64 bit, but since Flowstone still exists only in 32 bit format, it, and Fruity-format plugins created with it, will only work within the 32 bit version of FL Studio. And since Fruity is a proprietary format there are no wrappers for it. This means that Fruity-format exports from Flowstone cannot be opened in 64 bit FL, wrapper or no wrapper. VST format exports from Flowstone however may work with FL's 64 bit VST wrapper.
