Synthmaker Greatest Hits
Re: Synthmaker Greatest Hits
Wave mutator
This is a great module for creating waves which can be saved as txt OR wav files for use in other oscillators.
Any two waves can be selected from a good range. The chosen waves can then be mixed as required and their phases adjusted individually, also with the possibility to invert. The resulting wave can then be saved for use elsewhere. There is a basic auditioning synth to hear the result and a really nice display of each chosen wave and the resulting mutation.
Spogged:
Originally there was a trigger-type push button so the wave wasn't updated until the button was pressed. My suspcion is that this was better for a much slower PC. I've left the original button in the schematic but changed it for a slide switch to gate a Tick 25 Prim. This means that you can adjust the mutation in real time and hear the changes as you go. It also means the Clear button will only function if the Mutate switch is OFF but I think this is better.
I was tempted to put the audition synth into the module but that would be going too far away from the original.

Wavetable maker with add and subtract
Another nice module obviously made Jay who also did the wave mutator. This one can add or subtract any 2 pairs of waves and operates like the Wave Mutator (see above).
Spogged (same as Wave Mutator):

Telephone tone generator
Nice thing to have if you want to create some phone dialling sounds for a track. The on-screen keypad looks very realistic too.

Wave loader with browse and path store
This is a real gem for me and exactly what I wanted a while back
You load a wav file in the normal way then you can browse all the wavs in that folder using arrow buttons.
The preset manager will save the state of the loader and, importantly, the path to the file is stored and re-loaded together with the wav file itself. This means you can choose a different wav from the same original folder.
Spogged:
I altered the control sizing and, for some reason, the original load button wouldn't display so I replaced it.
I put the whole thing in a module with a preset manager at the top level for demo and test purposes.
I found variations of this posted later with copy and paste features but they seemed buggy. In my tests this one was solid and reliable.

Circular and square buttons with comet rotation
These buttons when ON show a comet-like rotation around the button. Left click for ON and right click for OFF.
Great fun!
Spogged: both types put into one module for upload.

Pandora Synth
Very impressive looking and sounding synth with a very neat schematic.
The designer has created only a few presets but these show off at least some of the capabilities.
Spogged:
-Moved the MIDI-in Prim to the top level.
-Added a stereo clipper to the output.

Accelerating up/down counter
Nice input mechanism where you click the up or down button and the counter increments once, hold the button and it increments slowly then after a delay it goes fast. The counter is very configurable and there is a nice 7 segment readout where you can set the colour.
Spogged:
Loads! I lost track of everything I did to get this to work how I expected and wanted.

MIDI activity LED
Connect a MIDI signal to it and it will flash when there is a MIDI event. Simple but useful.
Spogged:
Changed the LED itself for one where you can set the colour and size. The original one was a fixed bitmap.
