checking out the 'digital timer controls'.

Upon loading, I'm getting a RUBY error in the 'Ticker - Custom' module. [scheduleMethod].

Strange ... just after writing this note ... the error is gone :? but does not seem to be working. hm.

btw a couple of these schematics are mine - movable guis and round menu!

cheers for posting these again!

No probs; I'm loving it and learning stuff in the process. My Q-50 project has been on hold somewhat because of my obsession.

I've edited the posts you mentioned so you are now attributed. I do welcome this. It's only right that, wherever possible, the authors are acknowledged.

Sounds like it could be a version issue. I test with 3.08.1 but what are you using?

I picked this custom ticker module up from God knows where ages ago but this is the first time I've deployed it. I wanted a sure-fire 1mS (1kHz) trigger source to test with and the oscillators, where you can specify a frequency, don't play because they're stream based. If you want to use one the limiting issue then is ticker-based (mono to float) so the accuracy goes to shit.
Request: Is there a good way to generate triggers at an accurate defined frequency?

If this is a code issue it's one for tulamide, otherwise known as The Ruby Wizard (by me that is...).

Text and Background Designer

This allows you to create an infinite range of customised labels with backgrounds. I'm reminded of MS Publisher's Word Art. It demonstrates, once again, the possibilities of this wonderful app we have here.

Spogged: Lots!
The author clearly meant to develop this further since it was provided with the version numer 0.13, so clearly an early beta. I based this work on the most recent one I found.
I was so impressed by the idea, and the work already done, that I spent a long time fixing and (I hope) enhancing stuff.
I won't list all the changes, partly because I lost track, and also in fairness to the author who had clearly already put in some major effort already and planned for more.
If you fool around with this you should get the idea. I would recommend that, when creating the text part, you turn down the alpha on Text 2 and 3 to zero. Then get the main text right and bring up Text 2 for highlighting and finally bring up Text 3 for shadowing. Otherwise it's so easy to be confused by what is happening on screen.
Once happy with the result the main view area can be saved as a png file for use elsewhere.
Please let me know if you find any issues with this one. It seemed to finally do what I wanted for me.

Up/Down schematics

These 3 devices may be timesavers for you where you want to increment up/down values or display if a knob value is increasing or decreasing.

Authors: Up Down with Wrap 02 seems to be by Trogluddite and Infuzion, the other 2 unknown.

Random floats and float array

Nice little schematic to generate random float values and also put them into an array. Very easy to modify to create the number of floats and array size that you desire.

Jeez there's some deep dark magic going on in this one!

The main module is able to smoothly morph (not mix) between all the connected oscillators. The amplitude is maintained at all times making this a superb main oscillator with an infinite range of variable waveforms (limited by the source oscillators of course). The code is in ASM so is probably optimised. Using Martin Vinacek's oscillators would further optimise CPU useage.
I found it fascinating to hear the effect as shown on the included scope as the scan/mix knob is turned.
This is so cool I'm tempted to make an orange synth with it

This is so mystic and so spectacular!
The fun part is that I've made a synth in Sync Modular about ten years ago (or earlier, need to check files).
It's main feature was (of course) a morphing oscillator. And the name I've gave it was...

Scannist

I've never wrote about it before and didn't shared it. Just was non-sense for me because those days Sync Modular users did made a lot of more complex synths. And the name was familiar only for some local friends that could accidentally see it in my flat.

I don't remember the reason about the name but this is it )) (I've checked in Google and just found ScannerXT by some Reaktor's user but this is the 1st time I see it).
Aliasant (and Spogg of course!) just made my day! :) :D
(and night and the next days and I guess about a year or more further...)

Hi hat with choke

This schematic successfully recreates the operation of a hi hat cymbal with 3 notes; played on middle C,D and E. The choke effect is spot on. This would make a good assembly to incorporate into a drum synth.
In this demo the core sound is a sample but it could be adapted for use in a synth.

VU meter with scope trace

Jeez! You have to see this one!

It's a scaleable bar graph with a scope trace and a kinda wavy thing going on. Like I said, just have a look.

This illustrates, yet again, just what this app combined with a creative soul can achieve.

Zoom or shrink bitmap knobs

Hey this was an idea I had myself! Trouble is I didn't get round to doing it though, but here it is done for me (and you).
You can set the size plus or minus in the knob's Properties view and all the other configurable stuff is there as normal.
I didn't test the strip loader so far.
