The Quicom UPVERB: The opposite of damping?

Postby Spogg » Thu May 12, 2022 1:12 pm

When I started thinking about making a gong simulator one idea I had was to take a reverb with damping and instead of using an LPF in the feedback to simulate environmental damping, I could try using an HPF which progressively removes the lower frequencies. Martin kindly arranged a suitable filter for me but the thing was totally unsuitable for a gong sim.

However, I found the sound interesting so I made the UPVERB and got it evaluated on Facebook to see if it was of any interest, which it turned out was well received.
