Internal Preset Location

Postby Rocko » Mon Mar 21, 2016 8:56 am

Hi,

I've created a module with 32 internal preset, using the stock preset handler. All works well.

Now, due to a bug, I went a head and changed a name of a parameter. I would like to allocate the 32 internal presets and alter their parameter names manually, instead of designing 32 new presets. Is that possible?
If so, where does FS save the internal presets? Are they saved as 'TXT' or in any other format?

Thanks

I've found the preset system is very sensitive to any changes you make in a schematic. I would suggest that you do a Save All Programs in the preset manager which creates a large text file. Then you can edit this in Notepad and then do a Load All Programs in the preset manager.

As a side note I found that the presets are stored in the FSM file but are not tied to the preset manager itself. In this way you can delete a preset manager and add a new one and it will pick up the presets again from the schematic.

Cheers

also ...

saving out a 'PRESET' file is a good way to verify all the preset naming of components in your design.

Open the saved file with NOTEPAD.

One more tool for troubleshooting.
