Just a thought...
With all these wonderful synths you've made have you not been tempted to make one that's entireley your own, using the experience gained. You know, your own "dream synth"?
Cheers

Re: Synthmaker bundle
hello, i registered because of this fantastic thread from mr. brown and his 5stars plugins and the helpers. its nice to see the care for each seperate plugin. i wonder why there arent many more people to this day that are able to participate or say thank you. i guess over time it will become more and more. sadly im no programmer or a scientist in preset creation. but thats a huge point, me as bloody beginner, is miss: presets !
i dont know, but wouldnt it be a idea to create a seperate website with this fantastic plug-ins with your creatorname and the helpers, and with a hint to develope further, share presets and talk about ? maybe github or something, while i have seen other great projects like dexed or juceopl and so on ?
everyone can know who are the guys developing it or helping to get it full.
maybe your developernames in the program behind a button that pop up on click?
i tried and played a bit with a few dlls to this time, fantastic.a lot deep respect for this work and the core value to give it to peoples out there to create something.i guess you got great ideals, and i think its realistic a large community would appreciate and be a part.words cant explain.
impressive work from very talented and glowing people.make it bigger guys.

Re: Synthmaker bundle
There is a place like that already, it's called music-society and I am sure that in the near future our sound designer Kujashi will release soundbanks for some of them.
http://music-society.de/index
Those are instructions for SM and not for FS right? Anyway, it wasn't that difficult after all. After opening the b6 project and the new gui elements project in the same Flowstone instance, I could copy and paste them over.
I hope it shows like you intended K ?
Please give it a look here: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo27 ... hwm7h4.png

Let's see if I can explain this verbally.
Open 'New GUI Elements'. Then, up on the header click on Toolbox>New Group. Give it a name. The new Group will show up over on the left. Click on it to open it, then just drag the new GUI elements into it. Close all, then open b6 and one by one drag the new elements into the appropriate modules and then delete the old ones. As I said before you may have to right-click on the new elements (from 'outside' the module; unlock it first, with the padlock icon.) and and select "Send to Back", to put them in their proper place.

Re: Synthmaker bundle
many thanks for your answer, i know that site already and kujashi, because i have presets from him for some free synths.all thumbs up! but is kujashi same as fast as mr. brown is ? i hope so because the first presets i will get crazy to play!
i know there are many talented people around too.
i like this site. but for my small opinion i get everytime scared of the dark-theme of the board. and the restricitons if you dont have a number of posts to be able to download something. and a download need a registration. that is like a privat society.
but what i mean is a "header"site for a project/work like this. i know myself and sometimes its hard to find informations or programs in a board, threads get older and the threadsize gets confusing more and more. i wouldnt be here if someone postet me that "random"link.
a nice word for a bundle like this, and a website that only spin around this. maybe with links to that boards. that would be cool. more people could take notice about and make presets or help to find out bugs or improvements easier.
if i got it right, the intent is to reach the people and have fun with this. i would like if the developers implant at least their names somehwere. or at least a textfile with names and free usage and so on. for free is for free, but its like drum sets arund the internet - pack it in a bundle and offer it for money. modify it minimum and again. that isnt respect or the way it was planed i guess. and work should be honored, and if people are so generous and decide to give it away for everyone, it cant be honored highly enough. a small monument who to say thank you is no problem. in my mind. this should be only a small tip from my side.

The site is a hugh collection of free musicplugins, all in their own thread, so people can discuse them easily.
Many years of work was put into it to collect them, mostly by the site administrator bam dormer. He also pays the monthly costs of the server when we are short on donations (almost monthly). He noticed that most of the visitors just came there to grab as many plugins as possible and leave without any contribution.
I am not defending his reaction to this, but he introduced that rule, that you need a certain amount of posts to download a certain amount of MB's. He hoped to make the board more active with this rule. You can go around this rule by donating something or by just posting a sentence here or there to show your appreciation for the plugins.
A lot of plugins were even made specially for the site itself, so your comment will reach the developper.
If the theme is a problem, you can change it in: Profile>Acount settings>Look and Layout.
The registration is a normal procedure on every forum. Some allow downloads for visitors, those are few if I am correct.

K. Brown wrote some about what you can do with his plugins and what free means to him. I can only give my interpretation but it seems that he is happy with some people using his work and showing him some appreciation here or at music-society. There is nothing wrong with your idea of making a separate site for the plugins and I will visit it if you make one. That would be a small monument as you suggested, but for my interpretation there are not so many people involved in the project as you would think. I thought many flowstoners would read this 19 pages long thread and join in to help with the automation fixes and the creation of some sequencers where K. Brown spoke about. Spogg and bluesmoke did their part but that is it, no? In my opinion he doesn't care so much about his name popping up in the plugin and he even stated that you can do major changes on the sourcefile and try to sell it if you like. That says more as my complete post, doesn't it? I think he is more concerned about bugfixing and completing the plugins.
I fully agree with you that K. Brown is so generous to give those files away with the source files included. There are no presets but have you thought about searching on google for presets of the KORG's or the ARP ? It is very easy to find PDF's full of presets so you can make your own. That is just an idea but that is what I do. You can also wait for Kujashi or someone else to come with presetbanks but you will have to show some patience for that.

Re: Synthmaker bundle
Just to say that, as in an earlier post, Mr Brown has agreed for me to upload his work onto the Flowstoners website http://www.flowstoners.com which I hope to start doing soonish. He will be fully acknowledged of course!

I've replaced b6 in the main folder with the refreshed GUI that Knob Twiddler did (thanks!).

Re: Synthmaker bundle
I went ahead and did one of the larger Buchla approximations, even though the Random sources are only a very rough stab and a stepLFO standing in for the Sequential Voltage Source. Still, I think, another interesting look into the Buchla way of doing things.
For those unfamiliar with Buchla modules, what we have here, left-to-right are:
-Random voltage sources and a step LFO.
-Dual Voltage Processor (adder, attenuverter, modulatable cross-fade).
-Two combination LFO/complex oscillator.
-Four Envelope Generators.
-A Four-section low-pass filter/vca.
-A six input mixer (two inputs with modulatable pan).
-A joystick with four seperate outputs: center-up, center-down, center-left and center-right.
-Various keyboard controls and four freely-patchable Preset Voltage Sources.
There'd be a Partridge In A Pear Tree, but it leaves a mess on the floor.
I used normal human language for the Dual Volt Proc, instead of math-speak ;- )

And before beddy-bye, param-names for The Dodeca 258c discussed earlier in the thread.
This Buchla approximation is quite different, being built around the Dodecamodule - virtually a complete synth in itself, but without oscillators. The Dodeca 258c adds approximations of a pair of 258 Dual Oscillators, a Four Channel Comb Filter, controls based on the 221 Kinesthetic Input Port and a stepLFO.
