Hello I´m new here in flowstone, this cumunity make great stuff 1k thx 4 that (a dream came true).-
I experieced a lot of crashes & difficulties with my win 10 64 bit system.
1.)no permission 2 write on my in my x86 folder....therefore no saves in the def folder or no permission to install -even as adm :(.
2.)Big int or float values or fancy GUI´s cause a big mem crash(every time)
My workaround (maybe someone have the same issues with win 10)

I istalled all runtimes c++ ,java etc. -NO SUCCESS
I ran FS(beta´s & final versions) sandboxed -NO SUCCES
I disabled WIN 10 UAC -SUCCES

I clicked the Start button to open the Start menu and typed the following in the Search box:
"uac s"
I canged the "fader" 2 "never notyfy me"
I hope this will hlp other ppl with that problem,
- maybe there r a lot of better workarounds ?

greatings Chris

Hello,

I'd like to know the specs of version 3.0.9 Beta2 (I'm still using V 3.0.6).
Is there some primitives of "DOUBLE stream to frame" & "frame to DOUBLE stream"?
I read the version history. It says "IMPROVEMENTS: New Double Stream connector type".

thanks

Hello FlowStone Community,

Thanks a lot for all the activities and information about Flowstone and the chance to create VST-applications.
I've been waiting a long time for MouseWheel support :)

By testing the Beta2 of Version 3.0.9. noticed the following issue:
When I try to activate the MIDI CC (checkbox in the properties menue) of a control knob in the Example Synth of Flowstone the whole programm crashes.
Due to the reproducable crash I am posting this issue here - I don't have a clue what's the reason for the crash.
Hope you can use this info for improving the Beta. Maybe you can reproduce the failure by yourself. Maybe it's a mistake by my own.

Best regards !

Hi Guys.

I got hundreds of bug on this 3.0.9 version even if Beta 2 seems really better than Beta 1.

I previously was using 3.0.2 who was not working too bad but have poor support of DLL and double floating point processing.

It seems that the community of flowstone use have moved because I don't see anymore a lot of people posting here.

Is it possible to know on which platform you guys are now gone ? Or on which version of flowstone you are working.

Cheers

Hi-
v3081 is quite solid.
It crashes for me sometimes turning ASIO off,
but that's all it does that is buggy for me.
Cheers

Hi nix !

Cool to have an answer ! Actually I got an installer for 3.8.0.1 wich is 17.9Mo heavy (17 881 690 octets), I'm on windows 10, but as soon as I take a button (the basic one), if go to properties and try to change any value in textfield, it immediately crashes. Your's also do so ? maybe I don't get a good version or something is corrupted...

Thank you for your answer nix.

Actually on 3.0.8.1, creating a new schematic, draging a basic button inside it, open properties panel an changing the text is enougth on my machine to make flowstone crash...

3.0.8.1, on windows 10. this manipulation works on your machine ? maybe it's all about having a clean config...

my installer makes 17 881 690 octet (17.9Mo), your's also ?

Yeah, I remember that bug.
It's happened to me before too.
I have a 17.463mb installer.
I just tried changing property values in 3081, and it seems fine.
I'm not sure what you should do,
but it is possible to get 3081 running without that crash.
I tried a new schem and the grey button with black outline,
and I can change it's preset name fine.
I am on Win10 also.

Anyone know what to do?

You could send a mail to support.

Hi nix !

I'm actually re-testing this version of flowstone and it works pretty well ! Main issue is DLL component crashing if function doesn't exists or have the exact good prototype !

Thank you for your help !

Hi Flowstone community!
Does anyone know if the 3.09 final version will be released some day or if Flowstone is dying slowly ?
I'm using Flowstone for several years, i need 3.09Beta2 for some features but there are too many bugs coming with it
