The Quilcom Vocoral: Turn you voice into a 20 part choir

Postby Spogg » Wed Oct 26, 2016 1:10 pm

Hello playmates!

The Quilcom Vocoral is a single purpose effects unit for multiplying a monophonic vocal input to create a 20-part stereo unison choir section with each voice panned using a 20 point location.

It’s created and tuned specifically for use on a vocal source, but if used with instruments the results can also be interesting.

A simple optional reverb is available to add space to the overall sound.

A user guide is included.

Here’s a couple of quick audio demos I made (I do wish I could sing, so sorry in advance  ):

Demo 1
Demo 2

For those who don’t own Flowstone the VST plugin is on http://www.flowstoners.com under Quilcom.

As always, I’m very grateful to the fine work of others that I make use of in my projects and with extra special thanks to Martin Vicanek.

I hope you get a bit of fun from this, and remember I adore any morsel of feedback you might offer me!

Cheers

Spogg

EDIT
14.12.16 updated to v1.11 to include Martin's time stretch.

Hello Spogg,

As usual, this is really nice. I played with it all day yesterday. It's now in my tool box and I am even recommending it to a few friends. Really great work, really makes me wonder why no one else has commented on it?

Take care, BobF.....

Great! I always wanted to create something similar but never got the parameters right. Thanks for sharing, Spogg!

Spogg, since you were considering to use my time stretcher in the context of this thread, I thought I'd post this one here. It is similar in spirit to your Vocoral. Check it out.

Really good Martin, wide range of effects, just needs a bit of orange now

I'm off out very soon for 2 days so I had a very quick look inside. Does it do time stretching as such or is it all delays?

Cheers

Hi all

I've now included an optional time stretch in the project. If you switch it on, the effect thickens nicely.
The new version 1.11 is in the original post.

As ever, many thanks to Martin Vicanek for his invaluable work.

Cheers
