Newbie question. Mixing Poly and Mono in schematics?
Re: Newbie question. Mixing Poly and Mono in schematics?
Oh any type.. Or a mix of any.. Specially reverb is where i could loose so much time experimenting, to get the most horrible result sometime
Well ChatGPT could help, but we could not very trust it, but there's a good probability of what it said is true, just have to verify it's logic or it works..
For Wave Digital Filter, the subject is very complex and not so much documented..
Hard to find an article for pure noobs, so the base stay unclear for me..
Most time when i learn new thing the barrier is equation and mathematics, where my feeble understanding make it like, how i'm supposed to use this equation, and what is it supposed to do ? Worst is when variable are not clearly explained...
But if i find a schematic thing could become more clear ! like this for example :
That's why i always search for image, or ask ChatGPT to make a shematic...

Re: Newbie question. Mixing Poly and Mono in schematics?
I could use some descriptive parameter naming help...
What would one call this simple subtraction removing the saw but keeping the transient (2 samples)... if it was a knob?
Contains the fundamentals of the saw... but obviously retains HF.
Any suggestions?
This parameter will be another pain in the a** to add. Why did I have to add so many routings...
Edit:
Not sure if I should double samples by samplerate either...
Edit #2:
MV, the gift that keeps giving. His "interpolated delay saves the day"

Fragmento, fragment or just "slice" maybe...
Ah for freakin *@/%*#$!... keep finding issues Toolbox noise S&H random LFO osc became totally useless in 96 or 192khz. With only noise as random generator, I should have figured that out at this point... but...
Hmmm and scope seems to have some kind of overhead also at 96khz< causing clicks. Can't see any CPU spikes but something going on there as well

MV if you haven't tired of me completely yet
But someone else might also be able to help me answer this...
Does the parts circled in green cost more or less than a single toolbox sine?
Trying to get some freebies without too much CPU cost.
But can't measure or count operations on a toolbox sine since it's wavetable I guess...

Hmmm...
Darn it! Looks like toolbox sine wins this round

Looks like Tepeix delay found here: http://www.dsprobotics.com/support/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=95058&p=237237#p237237 was quite fast... Nice job!
I didn't seem to beat using a second toolbox sine with phase offset in my particular scenario. But is seems slightly faster than MVs variant so it's really useful for the slice.
Don't know if there is a compromise or difference in their outputs (these two interpolated delays)...

Would be really nice to use the syncable LFO oscillators that Spogg posted earlier...
The transition time seems like a great option instead of the toolbox smoothing I resorted to.
Don't know if you can help me with this one also Martin? In case you're very restless maybe
I won't be doing my own ASM any time soon
The issue preventing me from using them was (if I remember) that these LFO Osc's don't offset phase when receiving sync.
Yaaay! The "copy-paste-ASM-destroyer" (me) of anything optimized strikes again!
Managed to get these working in my scenario.
Will try and replace all of my toolbox Tri and Sines with MVs LFO Sine... even though it has some harmonic distortion... or whatever those extra harmonics are in it's output
Gonna take a crack at that master sync oscillator ASM to see If I can't Frankenstein that one as well

Will making every connection this way improve the sound of my plugin?
