Multiple inputs/sidechain question.

Postby lalalandsynth » Sun Aug 06, 2017 7:12 pm

I am setting up a plugin to have a sidechain input - doing this in Reaper.

So I set it up so that the plugin has 4 inputs, assuming that will work.

When I open the plug in Reaper , I make 2 tracks , #1 for the plugin and #2 for sending audio into the sidechain of that plugin.

I make a send from #1 , sending audio from that track ch1-2 to ch3-4 on #2 like I always do when routing into sidechain on other plugins.

However , it seems that when I do this , some of the signal always leaks into the 1-2 of track #1 , so rather then going into the sidechain , it goes into the plugin and is processed.

The 4 channels are completely separate and this works in FS , what might I be overlooking here , or does FS not support multiple inputs /Sidechains ?

Yeah I had this issue when struggling to configure my Quilcom Bluesky vocoder into Reaper. Not very intuitive.

Glad you got it sorted anyway.

Cheers
