Re: GUI design
Hey guys, here's the new version:
and lookie at this:

(click for fullsize)

I just added a [+] button. It is'nt using math to position it yet, but it will soon. And it will open up a popup that asks the desired name and parent folder. Something like a file manager.
And Trogluddite, I will make to not close on click an option. NP. This is a wrok in progress, keep in mind.

Oh great! Just when I am finishing the knobs for the Quilcom design! Now I can start all over againSpogg wrote:And what’s more, I don’t like excessive minimalism. You know, when a knob is just an arc for example.

These days , with most plugins abandoning skeumorphism all plugins look like they are from the same developer.
As much as I kind of like the aesthetics of that I think its a trend , and I am starting to get bored of it.

Yes, the only developers that seem to excel at it is the company soundspot. But not always do their menus work, like preset managers and such which is strange. A lot of them seem 3/4 done.
I like skeumorphism too .
Skeuomorph
A skeuomorph (/ˈskjuːəˌmɔːrf, ˈskjuːoʊ-/) is a derivative object that retains nonfunctional ornamental design cues (attributes) from structures that were inherent to the original. Examples include pottery embellished with imitation rivets reminiscent of similar pots made of metal and a software calendar that imitates the appearance of binding on a paper desk calendar.
