Re: Phonics EQ and delay VSTfx(.dll s)
So that's where you've been. nice work mate.
Gave em both a run in Fl for about 10 min using the FL drum machine.
both run, and run well, didn't get an issue, low cpu.
So yeh, was all good.
Having said that,
Overall I liked the delay plug a bit better. the Eq gave me some minor
"user control" issues.
a: I had to move a fader in order to work out what it was controlling. Can be annoying.
I know I'm "noob" to it, and it will pass in time.... so it's not really an issue
I understand your probably aiming for that "sleek" look, that's achievable, by not labeling.
......So that's no issue again.
Suggestion:
What if every section had a module with all the labels in inside activated by mouseover???
Bit easier for the "first time user". Going further you could also provide options for the user
like "Always ON/Always OFF/ Default(Mouse activate)....???
b: you know the 'black circle thing' that is used to pull value up/down?...it's black and dissappears
when taking the value downward. Sometimes took me 3 or 4 times to find where to press and
drag it back up. it just stopped the workflow a bit..... .
c: The sensitivity of the sliders..... not good for my athritis/tendonitis....not a issue for you in general,
but for me, it's real, so for you, it becomes un-fortunate, because if a control gives me "physical
grief" in any way, it's a sure bet it won't be used again....Know what I mean.
But like i said, it's not an issue:
Sometimes you need that "sensitivity"-it's required....or it's a case of
Developers personal taste.....all good again
Hope this helps.
thanks for sharing dll's

Re: Phonics EQ and delay VSTfx(.dll s)
I can change the resolution on the sliders,
so that u have to press control to use the resolution it's at atm.
Of course Bill, if you would like to modify the plugs urself, I can pm
the .fsm s.
The points are marked with the number corresponding to the strip,
the black dot over bg is definitely an issue, I'll think about what to do.
The feedback is much appreciated,
happy they didn't misbehave when u took them for a spin.
Yeah, I thought fineness was good with the freQ sliders,
but I can change it.
I'm quiet coz I am waiting on RDSP to update so I can get on with 5 plugins which need Ruby.
In the meanttime, I am doing without and I'm gonna make some music.
So the points should have the strip number in white above them.
Ta for clarifying the Ruby timing, IMO Edison is where u can look at note ons in samples.
Sony Soundforge is also easy to punch in a marker at specific time.
Will be back into Ruby when I can use it in my plugs.
I've been pottering integrating 'changed' into my Ruby to MIDI code,
it's being a pain in the proverbial.
Cheers mate, Nick
These are kinda old,
but finally they are v1
How sleek is my man Grymmjack's GUI on freQ?
I think it looks sweet as- hehe
gotta sort out the dissappearing nodes in the black fade

Have been spending a lot of time with it.

Thanks for the tip. Its tough.
There's a lot packages out there for testing,
Whats the best for "precision" work? What do the pro's Use?, what do they use at NASA for audio
/midi testing...... you know what i mean.
i might be better off researching the whole area, and find the best option.
Hopefully I already own it

Sound Forge and Steinberg Wavelab are the going pro tools,
but there is nothing wrong with Edison,
you can't have more precision than samples,
so I do believe u own it 8D

Yes, and with all the extra stuff I've learned about it recently, I'm definitely going to
"stick to the devil I know".

There are however 2 free ones which kick a$$,
Wavosaur and Audacity.
I'd just stick with Edison too.
I love it for recording.
