Re: Tap Tempo AND Beat Extraction Modules
This device will try to extract the tempo of a song automatically. The idea is:
- determine envelope
- determine slopes as beat markers
- determine beat autocorrelation
- pick the right peak and calculate the tempo from there
It is not entirely foolproof, results depend on the analyzed material. However there is some visual feedback and a knob for the user to assist.
Have fun!

Re: Tap Tempo AND Beat Extraction Modules
haha Well, what i need exactly is a way to adjust tempo to inputted sound real time.
I'm trying to make my sound setup to adapt to real time input in order to adjust some effects that are time-based so they fit, just a bit, with what sound comes in.
Otherwise, the project is just always set to 130bpm... It's not too big of a deal if effects aren't input-sync, but it would really give a nice polishing!
martinvicanek Gosh buddy, your schematic looks amazing! I'm getting right into it!
