Re: New LA Bands 2 EQ
BTW, I had to look around for these peaking EQ filters by Michael Benjamin. I guess I had retrieved them from naiante.com.
These are by MJ and optimized by Michael Benjamin Voigt and Infuzion.

No colour, a smoothness though. I'm uploading the knob right now to the knobman gallery.
It's a bit heavy handed in the upper mids though. I might smooth that out in a small way.
I do like color and mojo though.

Re: New LA Bands 2 EQ
I used to as well, but now I like sustained transients. Only achieved of course by properly calibrated attack and release. You know I realized that only Ruby was able to get euler's constant to work with that to any kind of exacting degree.
That Ruby example's in My Esquire Limiter. I find it useful but I'll be making another version that doesn't sound so "firm" and analog. I'll make the same limiter with a more relenting and airy release.
I achieve that by adding a gain rider. I'll add an exponential governor by calculating averages for varied benchmarks like -6 and -13. That way it still peaks beyond but it's averaged. I'm not a fan of brickwall limiters. They are sometimes nice with lofi samples and drums maybe though.

Here's a new track; it's eighties revival. Made with Bands 2 and the Esquire Limiter:
It's a big project though. months to master
EDIT: Halon, btw. This EQ of mine has all kinds of Colour:

Just updated this EQ. It works faster and it uses less memory.

Yup, I just have to figure out an algorithm for making it quieter. Maybe My new zipper modification will be good for that.
