MVerb 7 - yet another reverb?
Re: MVerb 7 - yet another reverb?
Might implement this custom dropdown.
Depends on if the preset count is capped at something sensible.

I think these are questions for Martin. It’s his baby; I just interfered!

lala, I was curious, is that GUI images? The reason I say is it could reproduced quite easily with only shape prims. I could mirror Yours if You like with only shape prims. The lines would be crisper.
It's the least I could do; I used to work with HTML You see, it's a different skilllset. Up to You, the lines would be sharper though.

Yes , sure , if you think it can be recreated ,why not ?
Although it is a bit crisper then shown on the gifs .
Even a bit crisper then on this jpg.

There is a short and a long variant. It is not exactly gated, it is actually truncated.lalalandsynth wrote:Why is the Gate function a 3 state switch ?
There is a leaky integrator in the feedback loop. The control value is sent through a mapper so that the effect is perceived as half way at the 12 o clock position. And how does the Tone shaping work ?
YesI guess the pre delay numeric value is in samples at the moment ?
I'd say go ahead and allow me som testing and possibly modification at the end. Also need a volume control and wet/dry.
I could make those unless you want to make them yourself Martin or Spogg ?
I have a solution for that. Also , a lot of artifacts when moving the Pre-Delay.
Not in my original post, though. And quite a volume jump when i hit Freeze.

Re: MVerb 7 - yet another reverb?
I'll be done this tomorrow morning.
I'd rethought My method of creating a way to match an existing drawing. I have in mind something even better though. Right now it's a two step process, but now it will be just enter the exact pixel of x y, width and it will automatically vector scale.
It's really quite intuitive. I'd realized I'd need to use a scale, tried a few and settled on Trogluddite's float scaler. It works incredibly well.
So, I'll set the original images (the jpeg lala uploaded) width and height to a wireless and that will translate using a float scaler to the pixel values supplied to My new Area margin / scalers / vector scalers.
Here's a small animated image. Press it to see the Youtube version for more detail:
watch Youtube vid
And furthermore; this method would allow a skin maker for vst's. I'm pretty sure I could make a knob maker with the same idea too. The possibilities are endless, and more so when there is a pixel to ratio set automatically.

Re: MVerb 7 - yet another reverb?
OK, Exciting news. So here's how far I am along with the scaling render of this design:
It does'nt seem like much but I have been making concepts as I go. I wanted to state as well that it allows a colour changer built in. So I mean You could make countless colour choices available as well.
I used to do webdesign, so when I first saw synthmaker, and then flowstone, I'd realized what could be done with it. I'm talking like thousands of different knobs, designs, elements, imageless and ready to choose from.
MV puts out so much work; I wanted this to be something not only cool but technically cool. There's a lot of sound math. Yet, there is a contrast to that; And that is in the margin I'd used to quickly form the circle. I need to remake it to percentiles instead so that I can input the true pixel value.
Furthermore, I have made headway into making both scaling and auto aligning fonts. This is big news. I envision a few months from now; Mr. Vicanek able to choose from thousands of design concepts; And just dragging and dropping them from a menu. I could set the modules to borderless so that You could always see exactly how everything would be justified.
So, basically what i am saying is; Instead of pixels converting to percentile it would be grid points. So If You decided to resize Your schema it could; And I think that idea is sometimes redundant however, choosing colours or "automatically" matching a theme's colour is possible. Anyways, thanks again to Mr. Vicanek and I hope You like the math behind this.
The rectangle menu uptop. I might remake that so everything in it is self contained. Like in its own module. If that were the case; I could still resize using clip and font alignment etc would be simpler. It's a steep learning curve because it's a new technology.
