This gives good explanation for legato...
Access legato/glide or port, by going in the "midi to poly module", open small module
called 'portamento'...inside is small knob, and a on/off switch.

It sounds like legato does not have separate notes.
That is a great Wiki, ta bill 8D
There is only one attack and decay phase within the tie.
The first note attacks, and last decays.
All the notes within the tie slide without changing volume.
Any thoughts on implementation peeps?
I'll think about it too.
