Interesting ? Make u'r own VST Host

Postby RJHollins » Mon Nov 04, 2013 7:16 am

This may be old news, but I happened across this during my travels ...

This may be out of the scope of FS ... but you never know till I ask the 'Brains' on this forum 8-)
http://teragonaudio.com/article/How-to-make-your-own-VST-host.html

So ... if this even possible with FS and RUBY ??

just curious ;)

Thanks for the heads up,
this is beyond my capability.
Here is a screen using the vst~ object in MAX/msp->
MAX vst host.png
MAX vst host.png (153.33 KiB) Viewed 6180 times

The only reason I haven't done this is coz I cannot
rename the titlebar on the plug window--
it's broken and needs to be fixed by Cycling '74.
I have built all the VSTi/fx components in FS,
and will chain them with MAX, and compile an .exe.
Stupid bug, it makes it hard to differentiate instances,
to the point of unusable.

So u can make a VST host with this,
that doesn't spawn instances.
U can put ur own icon on it.
I think MAX/msp is like $250
