FlowArmV2

Postby mecha.koch » Sun Nov 27, 2011 9:21 am

I am having trouble getting my AL5D Arm to work with FlowArm software. It seems that all of my USB ports on my laptop are port 11- port 14... However, FlowArm only goes up to port 10 on the software. How can I control my arm with this product!>?!??!?

Thank you in advance

...oh and in addition, LynxTerm is able to connect just fine. Does the Arm only work with desktop computers? I am trying to use mine with a Dell Inspiron laptop.

This is a known issue in FlowStone V1 which apparently is being fixed for the next release.

In the meantime you can manually reassign your com port number in the device manager.

Device Manager/ Ports Lpt & Com, click on your USB comport and go to the advanced settings here you can re-assign the comport number.

Some times it says that ports 1 - 10 are already used but it is a lie, choose something like Com6 - Com 9 and you will be fine.

Thank you so much!!!! I was fishing around the device manager yesterday to see if I could change the port, but apparently I didn't go deep enough into the advanced settings. After switching the port to COM6 and restarting my computer, FlowArm worked flawlessly!! Thank you so much for the speedy reply
